Tony Fischier

Tony Fischier, born in Umeå, is a writer, journalist, artist and musician with a multifaceted background. For thirty years, Fischier was employed at Göteborgs-Posten, but he has also worked for over a decade as a prison guard at a closed institution. His background also includes several art exhibitions, and in 2021 the band Bobbin Lace's debut album with Tony Fischier behind the drums.

In 2021, Fischier debuted as a writer at Lind & Co with the Gothenburg-inspired crime novel The Man Who Disappeared, which captivated both critics and listeners. In September 2023, his fifth crime novel A stroke of Karma will be released, which builds on the story of Commissioner Niklas Ragnvik at the Gothenburg Police.

Tony Fischier has a wife, three children, a grandchild and has lived in Gothenburg since the 1980s.
